    Should I expect my T61 to ship with Vista SP1 already installed or aren't they that far?

    It's the x64 business version.

    whether its installed or not u can always download SP1 freely from MS.

    I know, but would be nice if it were streamed into the hidden partition.

    Anyone who got a Thinkpad recently should be able to confirm whether or not it's integrated.

    Actually... I had a prerelease installed and the other night my machine announced that it was installing an update. It was a three part update just like SP1. So if you don't find it.... it will find you.
