Searching got me to many convoluted threads about many wireless subjects, so I started a new one.
I connect wirelessly to the locations I choose (hitting the ThinkVantage button and choosing a particular location profile) no problem. But where is the magic setting I can choose that just selects from all the locations I've saved automatically. I'm in this library, it automatically chooses that location. I'm at a city rec center, it automatically chooses that location.
As it is, I need to wait through my dog slow XP bootup (that's another thread) till the T61 is attempting to choose from the other location I was at, so I can then stop it, hit the ThinkVantage button, choose the correct location profile...
It's always a relief when I've gone back to the same location twice, then it just opens up with the same location profile. I do see a setting deep within the wireless setup area which purports to "choose best available network" but that doesn't do what I'm asking for some reason or maybe I'm just not selecting that option properly. Thanks.

I don't ever use Access Connections so I really can't offer any wisdom on this topic...
Good luck.
