I bought my T61 because I wanted something super durable, but the cover gets marked so easy. Whats the best thing to wipe it cleam with? I used to use a well rung out hot cloth but doesnt seem to do the job...

Durability != minor, temporary cosmetic blemish
I think the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works great for cleaning the shell & keyboard in general. -

The magic eraser is a fine abrasive, and you will end up sanding off the finish.
For best greasy paw removal, I usually use a sock, or other thick lint-free cloth soaked with isopropyl rubbig alcohol. Few swirls around the surface, and its mostly clean. If it was a pizza night and my T60 was a plate... maybe 3-4 cleanings does the trick. -

The best way to get marks off is to follow Lenovo's instructions:

Worked perfectly for me. I was so amazed at the results. The top cover was an instant shimmering black like it was when I first took out the box; maybe even darker! Who knew dishwashing soap could work such wonders? -
There is an apple iPod/macbook cleaner called iKlear that does a good job of not only cleaning your LCD (use a soft lint-free cloth) but your plastic thinkpad exterior (you can buff it too) and especially the rubberized exterior (although it won't cover scratches it will clean fingerprints and rub marks).
