    Hello,

The dock for my 14in T61 is 250410U.... But will my integrated video (Intel X3100) work with the DVI port on this supported dock?

The DVI mode is supported up to the resolution of WUXGA for the integrated graphics card.

The T400, T61 and R61 14.1 inch widescreen with integrated GPU all support DVI out, but for the R60, R61 15.4 inch and R500 with the integrated GPU, the DVI out function is not available, but can use a Lenovo usb2dvi adapter if they desperately need DVI out (This information is just for people whom have similar inquiries for other models of Thinkpad laptop).

So if I get this dock using my T61 with integrated video (Intel X3100), will it support 1920X1080 resolution? As I am a new monitor that uses this resolution.

As well, DVI vs Displayport... do you get better picture with Displayport over DVI?? As I am getting a NEC monitor that support both.

I am into photo editing, so building a decent setup...

yes it does support that resolution. Displayport have the ability to carry audio like HDMI, but the manufacturer doesn't have to pay a license fee to use it.

Along with carrying audio and DRM:

DVI is the newest, and for the most part last computer-specific connector that uses pins and screw fasteners.
Pins can be a pain because obviously they can be bent out of place and the screws can be a hassle, but are necessary due to the size, weight and # of pins. DisplayPort also has a smaller size connector, and a less complicated cabling system.

As long as you are using quality cables for either, the video or picture quality is the same as they both transmit digitally. Both also support resolutions over 1920x1200, but you're actually limited by the integrated graphics instead.
Your docking station only has DVI for video out in digital (along with VGA). So unless you really want to wire in an adapter, you don't actually have an option for DisplayPort with your current laptop.
