What a great forum. I have learned so much, but still have a few basic questions.

    1. With T61 docked on the Advanced Mini Dock, an external monitor attached to DVI on dock and an external keyboard and mouse attached to dock, can the notebook lid be closed without going into standby? Or, is the notebook even usable with the lid closed while docked?

    2. Will T61 WSXGA+ with Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics be able to drive a 24" 1920 X 1200 monitor? (No games, just typical business programs)

Thanks for your kindness to an old, grey-haired newbie (or is it noob, or newb? I'm confused)

    To answer your questions
    1. Attach your T61 to the dock and with the lid closed power up the system with the dock power button and you will be fine. If my experience if you open the lid up while the computer is docked and then close it the system will still go into stand by.

    2. Yes your video card can drive a monitor up to 1920x1200.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, CorysWorld. Did not know the dock had a power button. Thanks to stallen as well, I think...
