    Hi guys.

Started getting this 2100: Initialization error on HDD0 (Main hard disk drive) error on bootup after Windows has crashed or rebooted. I've had this with Vista, but I'm using win7 now.

I've tried using the firmware update ( http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-67653 ) that corrects this known issue, but it doesn't have an update for my Seagate ST9320320AS, firmware version 0303.

    I have checked that:
The drive is seated just fine.
    SMART values are OK
I did a quick surface scan (don't have time for a complete one right now) and no errors.
I've chcked on Seagate's site and googled, my drive doesn't seem to be effected by this error, at least from what I can tell.

I have to completely power off the notebook in order to boot.

    Any suggestions?
