    T61 fan is not on

    i don;t feel like the fan is running at all, do u think there is a setting that i might have played with that disableed it? anythoughts? and how could i turn it on?

    it got be on, otherwise you won't be able to type here. it just shows how quite it is. No, production (compared to diy desktops) laptops dpn't have to option to turn off the fan.

    check CPU temp through BIOS

    iam just surfing the net now and the temp is at 54, its sitting on my lap and it kinda feels hot.
    i have one of those temp monitoring softwares and that;s how iam getting that 54 # , but how would i be able to get it from the bios?

    54 is not bad, I bet if you put it on a hard surface it would be lower.
