Come on, a 2-week wait is nothing. They're original EST is supposed to be 2-3 weeks anyway. Don't insult those of us who really have waited.

 

Pretty nice tho if you plan to use it on battery you may want to buy a bigger one later. Other than that looks groovy but yea your shipped quicker than others because you didnt want the camera

 

The camera has nothing to do with it.

 

Last time i looked at it...under the camera options it has that it will delay the shipment...though it may have changed..i compared est shipping date and the one with camera was like 8/2 and the one without was 2 weeks like his...but o well may have changed

 

My current Averatec POS gets about 1.5 hours on battery, it's never been a problem. The only time I use it w/o battery is to quickly check email or something, usually under 20 minutes. The only thing I regret is not getting a faster HD but other than that it's got everything I need.

Yes, I feel bad for those who've been waiting over a month. I couldn't do it, they're better men than I. In fact, I was literally combing through the T61 lot at costcentral.com when the shipping email arrived! Lucky bastards, I might return it and get one from costcentral anyway, just to screw over Lenovo for you guys who ordered in May! I say we all return them after a couple of weeks! This T61 better be something else.

Nothing against you personally, but every time I read a post about someone who has ordered in late May or June and has got their laptop shipped, I get a little more enfuriated. I just don't know what other laptop to get

 

No offense taken. You certainly have amazing patience, I just don't believe laptops are special enough to take more than 1 week to build. There is no excuse. Lenovo also needs to stop with this 'supply chain' excuse too, that's embarrassingly weak.

Considering what Toyota can do for their supply-chain Lenovo ought to be able to get your friggin' laptop on your doorstep 10 milliseconds after you click 'add to cart'. It's not like artisans are lovingly crafting every component by hand with every order they get. It's a glorified Lego kit damn-it.

I ordered a T61 on 6/13 (last wednesday) and I got teh shipping email this afternoon as well. Ordered 6/13, shipped 6/19. Not too shabby.

 

Congrads, post your order to help us figure out if there's a pattern to who/what gets delayed.

 

The pattern is that you should not have ordered anywhere between May 9th- May 24th. Anything after that and you're good.

One thing in common: All shipped orders are 15.4 screens w/o discrete GPU and no integrated cam...

 

That's funny because my T61 in sig was set to ship tomorrow but checked the order page today and now has an ESD of 7/20. I ordered this on 5/31 btw. Now I'm pissed and Lenovo reps are gonna get an earful this afternoon!

 

I ordered the 15.4 WSXGA without discrete GPU and no integrated camera on 6/10. It was set to ship 7/5. I just got the shipping notice yesterday. According to UPS tracking, it's coming from China and is set to deliver on 6/26

You are right. I guess they'll ship what they can whenever they can.
Website or rep info is just a guess (usually very off).
I just received the 1-30 days delay email but my ESD changed from 06/20 to 08/13...
