So I've been trying to connect my T61 to my TV (40" HD), but it seems the maximum resolution setting in Presentation director is limited to my native LCD resolution (1280 x 800), thus I can only get 1280 x 768 (TV support res) to my TV.

My TV supports up to 1920 x 1080. Is there anyway to output that resolution through VGA to my TV? Or am I limited to my native LCD res?

Extended or "projector only" modes should allow you to hit 1920x1080. That being said many TVs (even 1080p models) don't work nicely with 1920x1080 over VGA (1280x720 or 1366x768 often works better, but you may be lucky).

You could pick up the dock and a DVI to HDMI cable for $60-70 bucks.

Thanks all for the replies, setting the display to external only works. 1920x1080 @ 60Hz displays perfectly on my TV through VGA.
