    Hi,
    I'm looking for a new laptop and I'm still deciding b/w a T61 or X61s.
This laptop is mostly used for :
    + web browsing
    + light programming
+ very light gaming ( not 3D. I play Football manager, a simulation game )

Here is a few questions I have:
    1/ Battery life ?
    + T61 with 9 cell battery ?
    + X61s with 9 cell battery ?

    2/ Screen ? X61s 1024 x 768 : how is it ? enough for web surfing ?

3/ Build quality ? are they the same ? I tend to abuse my laptop and none ( including desktop ) has ever survived me more than 1 year. The reason why I choose IBM is because I heard good things about its build quality.

    Thanks alot

the X61 will last longer than the T61 with the same type of battery

1024X768 is decent for web surfing, i personally need something a little higher

build quality on both laptops is good

do you need a built in optical drive or a track pad?

The big question is portability. If you need it, get the X61. The X61T does offer SXGA+ if you need more real estate. I'm typing this on the X61s and XGA seems about right. Scrolling with the UltraNav is so easy, it makes the lower resolution of the XGA screen a non-issue.

    That's cool.
Honestly I like X61s alot more than T61, but the screen is kinda hold me off from getting it.
I'ma gamble on X61s then. X61t is too expensive for me now.
