    Is the thinklight any dimmer than any previous generations or is it about the same. I remember that Chinese review saying that it was dimmer but want first hand experience. Let me know guys, thanks!

    Well i do not have any to compare it to...but my thoughts are that if it isnt very dark in the room it isnt too helpful...but i use it in a pitch black room and it did help lol...

    Just received my T61, and I gotta tell you the screen is perfect for me. Keep in mind this is my first laptop, so my opinion is based from that perspective.

    I'm gonna fool around and write a thorough report.

    Subjectively, compared to my T41, the light on my T61 is maybe 1/3 as bright. It is almost--though not quite--worthless. Wonder why they screwed this up, as it can't save more than the teeniest bit of energy.
