T61 owners: Does your Volume|Thinkvantage riser bar on your keyboard "hump" in the middle??? PIC

Mine humps a slightly upwards near the ThinkVantage button. It seems pretty firm and won't push down flush with the rest of the keyboard.

Is that normal? Or is there a wire stuck under there? hehe

Mine doesn't have a lump. The lump is hard to see in your picture, could you post it without the blue lines?

I believe this has been reported before and if I remember correctly, the culprit was the ribbon cable.

 

mine doesn't look like it humps, but it is really flexy

Couldn't the ribbon cable be compromised? If you notice, the ribbon leading into the LCD seems twisted.

Yes, the ribbon cable can be fixed, but you'll need to open up your computer. Shouldn't be difficult if you follow the instructional videos.
