    Mine doesn't have a lump. The lump is hard to see in your picture, could you post it without the blue lines?

    I believe this has been reported before and if I remember correctly, the culprit was the ribbon cable.

    Couldn't the ribbon cable be compromised? If you notice, the ribbon leading into the LCD seems twisted.

    Yes, the ribbon cable can be fixed, but you'll need to open up your computer. Shouldn't be difficult if you follow the instructional videos.
