So I finally returned my T61 today - dropped it off at the Lenovo National Return Center (that is run by some local company) in Durham NC.
They didn't give me any tracking number/receipt etc. How do I track to ensure that the laptop reaches lenovo and that I am no longer responsible for it?
I paid with Bill Me Later so I guess Lenovo will deal with bill me later....

Got an RMA from Lenovo.
Packed everything in the box, printed out the RMA, my name and address, and the address of the Lenovo return center, stuck it on the box, and dropped it off with the guy at the return center. -

why did you return it? are you going to eat the 15% or are they giving you a full refund?

Full refund....bunch of issues out of the box...

I would have let UPS take it. That way you can track the progress -
I agree, but I think you should be fine with dropping it off. If it wasn't allowed, the guy wouldn't have accepted it. I'd call Lenovo (or go buy the NRC) and ask them if there's any update.
