    Hi there,

I just recently bought a T61 to rebuild. It is a widescreen WXGA display, I would like to replace the existing WXGA panel with a higher resolution matte WSXGA+.

Is this as simple as replacing the panel?

    Thank you.

As long it's the same size panel then yes you can use the existing LCD frame and cables and just swap out the screen panel with a different resolution. You may need some new layers of double sided tape so it holds the front bezel in properly when you want to rebuild the LCD lid.

Thanks a lot for the answer. Double sided tape is the least of my issues.

    Thanks again.
