I was hoping to get a Centrino pro or Centrino duo sticker for my T7300. Instead I got a plane Core2Duo sticker. Also, I got the Vista basic sticker instead of the white one that I've seen on most reviews. Anyone else getting these stickers?

Its because you have the Thinkpad wireless card or discrete card, Centrino Pro and Duo are given to the entire chipset only, the cpu, wireless card, video and any other part of the Centrino chipset.

If you got a Vista basic sticker, it's because you bought Vista basic. Only Home Premium/Business/Ultimate get the white sticker.

It's true. He would have to have purchased the Intel wireless card as well in order to receive the Centrino Duo sticker. If he went with the Thinkpad wireless card, but have a Duo 2 Core processor, he will get the Duo 2 Core sticker instead. I'm not sure about the GPU though. When i had my dv6000t, i ordered it with a discrete graphics card but it came with the Centrino Duo sticker.

The Vista sticker is different. I noticed that if you order Vista Premium with the T61, the order shows a "Vista Basic" emblem.

They sell these on eBay, I don't see one right away on eBay right now, but I am sure it will come up. Personally, these just get in the way for me. I know what I have and I would probably replace the stickers with something else aesthetically pleasing anyway.

I always peel off any stickers before I even plug the thing in for the first time. I had no idea people actually liked them.

Actually, even though you have a discrete GPU, you still technically have the Intel IGP soldered onto your motherboard- it has only been deactivated.

Heres the deal on the stickers for the T61 with Vista:

Centrino Pro: You will receive this instead of the Core 2 Duo sticker IF you have the Intel Wireless Card (all systems will already have the intel chipset and intel processor)
    OR
Core 2 Duo: You will receive this instead of the Centrino Pro sticker IF you have the Thinkpad Wireless Card (you no longer fulfill the requirements to be "Centrino" which is the Wifi, Processor, and Chipset.

Vista Basic: From what I can tell you will have this unless you get Ultimate. I am not 100% sure on this one though. It does not have anything to do with getting Home Basic either....I have home premium with aero and still have the basic sticker. I have also seen some T61s with the Nvidia Graphics card and a Vista basic sticker. So as it is right now I think you have to get Ultimate to get the non-windows basic sticker.
    OR
White Vista: See "Vista Basic" above.

To show how this works take my system for example:
T61 w/Vista Home Premium and Thinkpad Wireless Card.

I received the Core 2 Duo sticker and Vista Basic Sticker.

Finally as a side note, Centrino has NOTHING to do with graphics card. It is Processor, Chipset, and Wireless only at this time.
