    Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a new Lenovo laptop and I was really interested in the T60. With the arrival of the T61, I decided to go for that since it has the updated Santa Rosa platform. However, the reports of bad battery life and other minor flaws (no Flexview) etc. has me wavering between the two again. What do you guys think? Should I go for the T60 or T61? Specifications wise, I'm looking for a 2.0 Ghz processor, 1 GB of RAM, Vista and a dedicated graphics card (either the Quadro or the X1400 will do fine).

    Thanks!

Depending on what tasks you will be using the T60 may work just fine.

I would be wary of buying "old" technology when a new version has just been released. Of course, always be wary of "new" technology, too. What a conundrum! If you think that you won't need the t61's features, you can certainly save a few bucks and go with the t60. You aren't gaining anything HUGE, more like a bunch of small improvements (with the exception of dx10, maybe)

If you could let everyone here know what kind of applications you run, how you handle your computer and how long you want it to last we'd be better able to help.
