Good day all, today I went to go online with my T61 and its not sensing any networks in the area. The WiFi antenna symbol is also not lighting up either. I tried switching the antenna switch on the front if the laptop on / off but it still tells me I have no wireless card installed. Any clues on how to fix this ??

Oh, and when I press the blue Thinkvantage button and go to "wireless" and go to "power on/off wireless radio" it claims that "no supported wireless adaptors (802.11, WAN, or Bluetooth) are installed in this system". Which isn't true at all, since I've been using this laptop to go online for 5 plus years now :-( I hope the wireless card didnt crap out on me, as I have no idea how to fix this. Stuck going online via my smartphone now.

Boot from a Linux "live" CD - that will help you determine whether the problem is hardware-related, or a driver bug within Windows.
What's the full 7-character model number of that T61? -
I think I did a boo-boo, because I went into control panel, then device manager looking for anything with a yellow exclamation point, and I did find one under the wireless driver. So, being a moron I right clicked on it, and hit uninstall. Forgetting the fact that I have NO Internet connection to install the CORRECt driver. So now I think I'm screwed. Now when i go into device manager it tells me I have "Intel 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection, and that its operating correctly. Before I had that, and something else under it that I uninstalled which is probably causing the lack of the radio turning on.
My only other thought would be to do a system restore to a past restore point. I REALLY don't want to do that either, since my last retire point was back in 2010 and I would have to reinstall a LOt of stuff
