    Hi,

First of all, thanks to everyone in this forum, you guys have been very helpful in my purchasing decisions.

On my new T61, I got the Quadro 140m w/ 128mb memory. I have 2gb system ram installed, but it shows up as 2018 in Vista. If I'm not mistaken, 1024x2 = 2048. Is my system ram being shared with the video card? I don't see why, and is there a way to stop it? Please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

Vista always borrows some RAM from the video card. Your video card is generally not even using much video RAM to just draw the desktop. All that means is it could theoretically use that much, it's not necessarily using it at that given instant. NVIDIA calls it TurboCache, ATI calls it HyperMemory.

Don't worry about it, totally normal and harmless.
