You can get a T61 with Suse... but not with a new Penryn! Why not!

I want Suse because I have Windows available for free via my university and I would rather not pay for OEM Windows.

Do you think they would give both Suse and Penryn if I called?

Probably - it is certainly worth a call - often there are options that aren't shown on the website because they haven't been updated. There is absolutely no difference in the Penryn machines - the processor is the only difference, and it is functionally the same as the T7XX series. You can plug a Penryn into any T61 MB.

I see they now offer the SUSE with the T8300 but no Nvidia 570M. :(

I want the dirt cheap OS because I have XP Pro for free from my University!
