    Hi.

I've seen this mentioned in some posts, I just wanted to confirm that this is true.

I just bought a Lenovo T61 with the T9300 processor. I got it with the minimum RAM so I can buy it for cheaper elsewhere. My question is, will this laptop run DDR2 800 at 800MHz, or will it be slowed down to 667MHz?

Basically, does anybody know if Lenovo put an 800MHz chipset in, or are they still using the 667?

    Thanks in advance!

All the T61, including the T9300 model, are using Santa Rosa platform, the memory will be slowed down to 667.

    I don't think it will run 800MHz,
unless it's the new montevina platform

OK. Thanks guys. Guess I'm going with DDR2 667.
