    Hello all !

This is my first post and i'm glad to be here between you !
I just ordered a T61 14.1" with the 6-cells battery. I would like to know the real battery life knowing that there is a nvidia NVS graphic card and 2Gb RAM.

Thank you in advance and .... sorry for my poor English... i'm just french

You'll get about 3hr-3hr30min hours of battery life depending on your brightness settings.

    What cell battery?

Try lowering your brightness, that helps a bunch.

The standard 6-cell - brand new. I'll try lowering the brightness. It's set to whatever the default is when on battery power.

I get over 3 hrs of wireless surfing and forum stuff on a T61 w/integrated graphics, 8300 cpu, and 2GB ram... with max performance and brightness at 3 or 4 bars. I haven't tried it with everything tuned for max battery, but screen pulls quite a bit of power and a lower setting can help.

3 hours on high performance is hugeeee...

Anywho, for any type of battery, it all comes down to your hardware (ie. 5400 or 7200rpm HD, cpu, gfx card). I get about 3 hours avg on max battery... kinda sucks if u think about it... hopefully there will be new batteries in the future that can do 6+hrs...

Is anyone using a higher capacity battery like the 9-cell? You can choose to purchase one for an extra $60 when ordering a T61, and I was definitely considering it. I'll probably be able to find one cheaper aftermarket.
