Does anyone else have this problem?
I know it was a heavily documented problem when Vista first came out, but I thought after they released some updates this would have been fixed?
I installed all the latest Lenovo and MS updates, but I just tested it out and the thing still does not wake up from sleep state.
If this keeps up I'm gonna have to go back to XP until they get it fixed.

(On a side note I cant dim the display either, it stays at full brightness at all times)

I don't mean to divert the topic but I question the value of sleep anyway because it draws power and will pull a battery down. I use hibernate which does not.

When I use hibernate, I have full dimming ability.

Well I can see where the benefits of sleep help, especially me as a student because in between classes I usually browse the web or do some studying and when it is time to go in instead of hibernating the machine but putting it in a light sleep till you get in is beneficial. I didn't know about the issue with sleep and 64-bit but that might ween me off from upgrading it so rapidly until that issue gets resolved.

hehe, Yeah, generally I use hibernate when I have an extensive down time between classes. Only thing I dislike about hibernate is that it takes up 1.5gigs or so :(

I use sleep all the time, with sleep on even for many hours on a long break it only takes away like 5% of the battery, I'm not that anal.
Anyways, back on topic, anyone have a solution to this?

I have a T61p running Vista 64-bit Business (came installed) and have never had this issue. I sleep it several times per week anyway.

    Figured it out.
I was using drivers and .inf from laptopvideo2go.com, removed them and voila! It all works now. Happy with Vista again.
    The user not the machine...

Hm, k, I guess I'll proceed with my installation of 64-bit when I get the chance. :)
