Hi guys, I was browsing through some pictures of the T60, and the advanced dock looks awfully close to the back of the computer. I was just wondering if anybody has bought the T61 with a seven cell battery and advanced dock. I was just wondering if it still fits since the battery extends out the back of the computer.

Also, how long did it take Lenovo to process your credit card. I ordered mine over the weekend (I realize they only process during business days) but it is now Wednesday night and they still haven't charged me. I haven't received any phone calls or e-mails about the charge not going through either.

Don't think Lenovo would make a laptop that wouldn't work with the dock. I don't think they charge you until it ships.

    @ ZaZ

    Once again thank you lol.

    2 More questions.
Mysterious RAM: Did anyone ever figure out what that extra 1 GB of RAM at the bottom of their order was for (I ordered 2dimm 2 GB, and at the bottom of my order is an extra 1GB stick that I had nothing to do with). I.E. did they charge you? Do you call them to remove it? etc. (sorry to ask it again here, I've been looking for the thread in the forum, but can't find the right one)

    Price Adjustment:
As some of you may have experienced the new price for a T61 is actually less expensive than the "sale" price that went on through this past Monday. Did Lenovo end up giving you a price adjustment? I talked to a representative, but he sounded kind of unsure (he told me to call back after my notebook was shipped?)

I would assume since ThinkPads come with 1GB standard, the extra one is the extra GB you ordered. Not sure what the price matching policy is. Could ask what it is, if they are unsure, ask to go up the food chain.

ddexter, I had the same questions as you. The sales rep I spoke to said the 1 gig of ram was used as a reminder for the people building the computer. I didn't really understand the reasoning but the rep assured me that I would get the 2 gigs of ram.

The price adjustment is a little tricky. I had a specific sales rep help me with my order so I was told to deal with him when adjusting the price. He told me that I could only adjust the price once, and that it would be a better idea to create a price protection quote which you let you adjust it to that price until the 21 days after it's shipped. If a new deal comes out with lower prices you could then adjust it to that price, but if a new deal comes out and the prices are higher I could still use the quote he saved me from the memorial day sale.

It sounds a bit confusing, but I would suggest you do two things. Create yourself a quote through the website and save the order number or print the page. Then call lenovo and tell them you want a price protection quote, they should be able to help you.
