Hi guys,
When I put my computer into hiberanation, it still consumes battery although not as fast as if the computer was on. Can anyone help me resolve this. Thanks...

I think you have it in sleep and not hibernation. What you see is true of sleep.

Man, seems like this question has been answered way too many times. Hibernation WILL consume power if some of the devices on your computer are set to allow them to wake the computer. Do the following 2 things. 1) Check your bios and make sure all wake settings are disabled (wake on lan, etc...). 2) Open your device manager and go through EVERY device in the list. If it has a power management tab make sure the allow device to wake computer setting is not checked.
If you do those 2 things then hibernate should take no more power then when powered off. If you have things checked to allow them to wake the computer then hibernate will take more power then a true off state.
