anyone know if the T61 is using BIOS or EFI? Just curious. i read a while ago that with Santa Rosa, PCs are shifting to EFI.

Good question. At least as I understood it, EFI was part of Santa Rosa, so it would seem like it would be part of it.

hmmm, really a good question. I know that Vista was supposed to support the EFI from day 1. I think today they say that EFI support in Vista will come later (SP1 ?) I guess it will be BIOS in the first version and EFI update later?

Santa Rosa supports EFI, but Vista does not take advantage of it (it still uses BIOS). As I understand it, few OS's do at this point. EFI has a compatibility layer for legacy support of BIOS, so even though a Santa Rosa machine supports it, it will most likely still be working with BIOS.
EFI = Extensible Firmware Interface. -
Santa Rosa has Electronic Fuel Injection?! SWEET!!
