i just received t61 and am using it.
But i can sometimes hear the little plastic sound from
monitor like 'tictic' constantly. when the laptop is off, of course,
there's no sound but starting it, i hear that sound.

my guess is that the plastic around lcd got some heat while on
and the plastic makes some sound through the heat.

    i dont know.

    Anyone experienced this one?

    Hi denimpawell,

the tick-tick sound comes from the magnesium rollcage.

Nothing to worry! It´s a feature.
