    Hello:

    I have tried finding a similar thread but somehow could not fool the SEARCH into finding the answer to which of the two T61s would have better battery life of the two:

    T61 + X3100 + 14,1 display + 7cell battery
    or
    T61 + X3100 + 15,4 display + 9cell battery ?

    Should you know of tests and/or reviews covering this, I'd love to read them!

    I'm willing to bet 100 it's the 15" with the 9 cell. The smaller 14 screen does use less energy and backlight, but the processor and harddrives that eat up the bulk of energy on a computer.

    I'd also like to know which would win.

    Another scenario which I was considering:
    T61 15.4", T7300 (2.0Ghz), 5400RPM HD, nVidia Quadro NVS 140M with 6 cell battery.
    T61 14.1", T7300 (2.0Ghz), 5400RPM HD, nVidia Quadro NVS 140M with 6 cell battery.

    How much longer would the 14.1" model last vs. the 15.4" model (same specs)?

    15.4" 140m's are a bit new... over the next few weeks there should be some more info on battery life I would guess. I'll let you know when I get mine :D

    @chadwicktr: Did you receive your laptop, buddy? Any feedback on how it performs with your battery pack? This is still ahead of me, but with September basically round the corner, I should finally make up my mind failry soon ;)
