My just new thinkpad t61 14,1 isn't completey without flaws... I just recently 'solved' the whine of this notebook, look here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=292417

Just a couple of hours after that, when I put the notebook to sleep to go have some diner I got an error when I tried to start it up again:

Error 0192 - System Security - Embedded Security hardware tamper detected.

This link tells me that the system board probably has to be replaced :( . I just did a fully clean install and college starts next monday. I'm really pissed about it.

Lenovo support is closed for the weekend, so I have to ask you guys:

Can I try to solve this problem myself or does the system board really needs replacement.
