I just received a T61 and am wondering what accessories other users would recommend for this machine. Some I am considering:

    • Soft Cloth to place on keyboard to protect screen when laptop is closed
    • Small stand to allow base of laptop to breathe
    • Decent nylon case

Anything I have missed that you would recommend?

I don't see myself traveling that much with the laptop, most usage will be at home.

    Thanks!
    -Paul (Brand new T61 owner)

    Advanced Mini Dock!

I am using one to connect LCD monitor, speaker, USB HD, LAN cable.
It makes your T61 like the center of a desktop system, yet you keeps the mobility. :)

    1. Bottle of isopropyl rubbing alcohol
    2. Can of screen wipes (these dry up faster than you can use them, hence the alcohol)
    3. Box of individually packaged alcohol wipes. I keep these in my computer bag so I can clean oily fingerprints off the keys when I'm at the local coffee shop. They also can be used to clean the LCD, or the table if some messy person occupied it before you. Yes, I'm that anal/phobic.
    4. Extension cord 6'. I use this so I never have to unwind the velcro-wrapped power cable. Extension cords cost 99cents and they're more durable/ easier to wind up. This ensures your power supply wiring will look like new 1 year from now. You can always buy another 99 cent extension cable as needed.

Not needed since the ThinkPad's lid is solid and it won't touch the keyboard.
