    Hi All.

I'll be flying from Bangkok to Singapore next month to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad T61P. Singapore prices are pretty good - and I'll get a tax refund at the airport.

Probably one of the strangest questions to post - but can anyone tell me how big the box is that the ThinkPad ships in? A picture plus dimensions would be great.

The notebook itself will go into my carry-on - but I need to put the box into checked-in luggage - and want to be sure it will fit into the bag I'm planning on taking with me.

Dimensions of the box would be greatly appreciated.... :)

You dont need to inform your reason for asking the size of the box. imo, just asking how big the box is is very simple and legit. people here would be happy to answer you. But now you put it to a tricky business.......

...Open a new topic. But this time only ask about the dimensions of the box... :)

Those boxes are bits of folded cardboard which it should be possible to unfold and pack the box flat so it takes very little space. Then you reassemble the box on arrival.

Sawadee Khun zerosource - mai dai pen kon thai -da poot thai dai.

So much for my attempt at a mildly humorous posting - although I get the point. For what it's worth - if Thai customs ask me to pay a duty on my laptop - then of course I will. In fact the question about the size of the box was more about whether it will fit in my overnight bag or not. Not 100% sure if as a purchase for personal use what my duty limit is - but I suspect that after that - it won't cost much either way. Does that help?

(Coming from someone that uses only 'legal' software in a country where it's pretty easy to do the opposite).

    We'll never know :)

But like I said, open a new topic. But this time only ask about the dimensions of the box... I mean, this info may be important to somebody else.
