    T61P - Outer Case Paint Issue

    First Thinkpad and no problems. *** However, the outer case seems to be a flat black powder coat finish with a very slight amount of sparkles added to it.

    ? - Is this the norm? The lid easily smudges, shows the slightest scratch and
    when windexed clean the paint can streak if enough pressure is applied.

    The thing may take a good drop but I'm totally unimpressed with the cover.
    Never had to worry about a protective case before, but now!!!

    I agree, the lid finish does leave a bit to be desired. The corners tend to rub through the finish as well over time. I'd rather the iid was a fine textured matte finish that didn't mark as badly...

    Its actually not sparkles, it is the actual dust of blood diamonds. (nothing else would be suitable for a thinkpad or its users)
