Wow...you're ripping yourself off. Big time.

Go for the Core 2 Duo T7500. You're overkilling with that T7800.
Go for the 1GB RAM (1DIMM).
Go for the least priced HDD. I think it's the 80GB.

Then go to www.Newegg.com and look for the Hitachi 200GB 72k00 HDD.

Then look at the RAM Deals here on NBR for a 2GB stick.

Look here for video instructions to replace your HDD and add RAM: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=208092

Exactly. Don't get their upgrade for the RAM & HDD.
The CPU might be worth it in a long term, but unless you want to pay for it, it's not worth it. You can get a T9300 for the price of a T7700 and it will probably be on par with this T7800.

It's the new refresh of processors. You'll get a cooler and more energy efficient CPU with it, but as of now, Lenovo is not offering it yet. You will see it in the upcoming months though.

Are you guys saying that you should wait till February when IBM has 9300 processors for sale or buy a cheap procesor now and buy a 9300 which will be easy to install later as an upgrade???

U don't need the 7800 CPU. Overkill and on a price/CPU basis the return on investment is marginal IMO.
