    T61P DVD-Multi Connection?

    The T61 uses ide, but ThinkPads has different connectors than other notebook drives. It's probably a moot point anyway because T series uses super slim 9.5mm height drives, which are thinner than most other drives. Very few other drive will fit in the ultrabay.

    Doesn't the the t61p use scsi? I have an old one (aprox 1 year old) and I used a 200 gb scsi.

    I know that the HDD is SATA.

    It's ide for the optical drive. The newer T400/T500 use SATA optical drives.
