So.. I refunded a T60p system, got paid 10.00 back more than I put in, and top of that also received my computrace lojack (120.00) and t6x series dock (200.00) for free. HAHAHA! =)

cheese and rice! how did you get free lojack and mini dock?

I decided on the T61 T7500 WSXGA+ w/140.

I used FW + SPP + USXIBMSPPTRIPLE + AMEX/TM discount + (AMEX also adds one year to the warranty).

 

Looks like you got a better deal that me with pretty much the same specs. I did not get any fat wallet or AMEX discount. I did mine direct over the phone.

How did you get free Adv Mini Dock?

I just hope I get mine shipped sooner that later

 

How did you get Vista Business 64?

 

lojack and minidock were ordered with my T60p, which i returned in May. I returned the laptop, kept the lojack and minidock, and they gave me a full refund anyway.

Vista Business 64 is an option now on the T61P configuration page.

Where's that 14.1" WS version?! I know a 14" 4:3 exists T61p as evident on their corporate site. Lenovo fails to deliver for me at the current time.

Made my order today. It's a beautiful thing. I did the SPP along with the usbxtripple order thing. I'm not sure how i got both of them to work but I did. If anyone is thinking about ordering this laptop. Lock in the SPP and the other coupon code that you can find somewhere else on these forums now and then save the quote. That way when it expires you can still get it at the price you want. I saved like $300 or $400 buying it this way.

 

Crap - I am dissapointed a bit.
I was ready to order it. But I do not want WUXGA screen. With WUXGA it will be impossible to see anything (or will have to adjust DPI, which will make fonts look OK but images look small).
I guess I will have to wait for HP 8510p...Too bad.

Intel Turbo Memory. Makes your compy supposedly boot up and return from hibernation faster.

 

Meh, I don't really care. I wasn't planning to buy until November-ish since Lenovo has some pretty good Winter Sales. (Last year, 14" T60p with T7400 for $1296)

 

Forget the past, man. Lenovo supposedly had good July 4th and Back-to-School sales last year too.

Does T61p have -15.4" UXGA TFT?

I only find WSXGA+ on Lenovo's site.

 

15.4" WUXGA (1920x1200). You can find the T61p in the "Mobile Workstation" selection instead of "T61."

Sorry that I didn't take the time to actually look this up. This deal is supposedly expired but it still worked on my order and it saved me 95 bucks. I used the SPP though so that may have made a difference. Good luck!

Actually, just so I don't disappoint you Johnny, earlier today I'd already canceled and resubmitted my order after reading fatwallet's FAQ about modifying orders.

Basically.... Don't modify them. Or get it right the first time.
