soo after i crashed my bios and sent it back to lenovo i now have my laptop back in working condition...kinda...

i'm hearing a high pitched beeping sound coming from the motherboard...i was wondering if other people are experiencing this as well? or if this was due to poor tech support. its basically a constant beeping sound emanating from the keyboard region... thanks

Are you sure it isn't CPU whine? It is common among the Santa Rosa platforms.

I'd try the various tweaks available for your processor which may be making that noise, if thats not it theres a chance your comp could be defective.

Yeah, that's definitely the CPU whine.

Using the 'high performance' power mode makes the CPU whine go nuts.

On 'balanced' it should be fine though.
