This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hey everyone.

    Just happened to find this and it fixes the annoying beeps and clicks that are especially noticable when using battery power.

    This guy found a solution, so kudos to him. I don't take any credit for this, only pointing out what I found for others suffering from the same problem.

    However .. I have a slight ... only slight suspicion that this solution makes my computer crash. I'm far from sure and it seems a lot of people are fine with it, so I suggest everyone tries it out for themselves.

    So, I hope this helps anyone.
