    T61p - are the 14 and 15.4 inch batteries the same?

    Will a battery from a 14" T61 fit a 15.4"? Also do the aspects factor in as well? Widescreen vs 4:3 (or is it 5:4 on a laptop? You get the gist)?

    More specifically will 6 and 9 cell batteries from either size notebooks be compatible with eachother? I know the 14inch notebooks have 4 and 7 cell batteries available as well but don't think those work in the larger screen size.

    I did do some searching around and couldn't find anything really conclusive.

    I'm pretty sure it should. I know that the T60 14" standard aspect battery fits my T61p 15.4" just fine.

    Do the different aspects make a difference? do the widescreen and standard models also fit the same batteries?

    I don't think it makes a difference. As I've said my 14" T60 was non-widescreen and my T61p is widescreen and the batteries were interchangeable.
