    Hi guys

Not taking into account price, should I buy this one now at a cheap price or hang out and wait for the newer ones to come out? What's the configuration like?

    ThinkPad T61p 6459-A24:
    T9300(2.5GHz), 2GB RAM, 200GB 7200rpm FDE HD, 15.4in 1680x1050 LCD, 256MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 9c Li-Ion, WinVista Ultimate 32

    Thanks

If you wait you are probably going to have to wait several months and it will cost you a few hundred dollars more. For what? Maybe a centered LCD and a new video card?

There will be new ThinkPads later this summer. From a performance perspective it probably won't be much of a boost. I'm hoping for some better screens before I upgrade.

But with the smaller 9 cell and LCD back lighting the battery life would be better. It depends on how important the faster video card and/or extra 30 min to 1 hour battery life is.
