I sooo can not decide on which one. The price diff is only about 100 dollars more for the 15.4. If the specs of the T61p 14.1 had the same as the 15.4 in regards to the WS and the 256mb graphics I wouldnt need to have someone help me to decide. But since this is not the case. I probably only going to travel a little. But I would love to use it during class. I currently own a broken 15.4 HP zt3000 and Iam currently using my GF's Dell latitude C520, at first when my HP still worked the real estate difference was pretty shocking. So I definitely like the real estate but kinda worried about the weight of the 15.4. Anyways is the 14.1 good enough to make me decide for the standard screen? Argh I cant decide someone decide for me!!! From the personal experiences of both a 14.1 standard and a 15.4 widescreen..

    Help please...Thanks.

Do you need the graphics power? If you do moderate to heavy gaming at high resolutions, then you'll definitely want the 15.4" version. If not, the 14" version should be fine. Don't worry too much about the lack of WS support, as the panel is a high enough resolution that you still get plenty of real estate. 1400x1050 is very good real estate on a 5.0lb laptop.

I think lenovo is having a 20% off coupon USPTSERIES14 with the 14'' standard screen notebooks (I found this at www.dealsea.com). Like odin243 said, if you do heavy gaming, then get the bigger screen.

With the extra 20% off I don't se how the 14.1" version is only $100 less then the 15.4"

there is also a coupon for the 15.4 as well. The 15 goes to 1482 and the 14 goes to 1369 or something like that. The coupon is on the laptop deals for NBR

The 15.4" has a 5% off coupon (it says 10, but thats only for the X61).

Does the 15.4" have the same 64bit graphics, or is it 128bit? I know it has double the VRAM, but VRAM doesn't matter as much.

The T61p 14.1" SXGA+ is the best model, strong GPU and yet reasonable weight and dimension. It also have a great deal (20% off coupon USPTSERIES14) and I can't find any reason to buy widescreen version. I personally think standard screen model is better engineered than 14.1" or 15.4" widescreen models.

Definitely, the current price for the standard 14's is awfulllllllly attractive right now - just so long as you're ok with the lower nits rating (brightness) for those particular screens.
