    Can the standard latest bios on my T61p 6459-CTO support the Core 2 Duo T7700 if i switch it into the computer...

    I am using a 6459-CTO right now with a T7700.

    I havent opened it up enough to look at the processor though so I'm unsure if its soldiered. Perhaps someone else can chime in on that.

    I'm using the 7800 with a 6459-cto and I think the bios was released at the end of October. You should have no problem.

    All T-series have unsoldered CPUs, only the X's use soldered ones.
