Hello everyone - I have a strange issue going on with my T61p. Just starting today, my hard drive active protection system has been spontaneously activating itself at random times, maybe around 10 times in a 10 minute window. The strange thing is the computer itself hasn't moved from its spot in a few days now, so I'm not sure what the cause of this problem could be.

Has anyone else had this problem? It is interfering with daily computing tasks because the APS is causing Windows 7 to freeze periodically when the hard disk is stopped. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Does lowering the sensitivity of APS change anything? If so then it might be... too sensitive.

I tried that but no improvement was seen. The strange thing though is I had it at max sensitivity ever since I bought the laptop (about 1.5 years ago now) and it never showed this problem even if I did move the computer.
