Oh yes! I was pi$$ed!!
I was going to avoid the long story, but what the heck. I placed my original order during the day on 7-11. Later that evening I got an EPP serial from a friend. I tried to call and cancel my first order, but it was late in the evening and customer service was closed.
I was anxious to get my order placed right away, since I'd been waiting for that day to come for so long, so I placed another order that same evening on 7-11. So on 7-12 I called up first thing and spoke to a sales rep and asked him to cancel my first order. I gave him the order number and he canceled it. He then insisted that I give him my second order number. This raised an eyebrow but I thought maybe he was just going to check and make sure that order was intact. So I gave it to him. I NEVER asked for any assistance with the order. I NEVER asked to make any changes to the order. He just said everything looks OK and that was the end of conversation.
Later in the day I was stewing about the rep asking for the order number of my second order. So I called and spoke to a different rep. I explained to her that I am getting an AMEX/TM discount because it is an online order and I was calling to make sure it is indeed an online order. She said, well you can't get that discount because it was a phone order. I explained to her what happened in the previous phone call and that I placed the order ONLINE! She said she couldn't change it back. SO I CANCELED AGAIN!!! Then placed my third and hopefully final order later on in the day on 7-12.
I am all about people needing to make a living. I'm sure the sales reps get some sort of compensation for phone orders, but that rep did not provide any service to me at all. If I was calling asking for advice on what processor, hard drive, yatta yatta. Then he would deserver it. Instead he was a great dis-service to me. -

Yeah, I had no idea. I had to do my order over the phone, I didn't have enough room on any credit cards so I had to split it over 2!
