    Hi all...

I've just installed 2x2GB G.Skill 5300CL4D 4-4-4-12 RAM in my T61p, hoping to see a little improvement in the Windows Experience Index for memory performance (Vista 64 Bit OS)

Not 100% sure what's going on here... but Everest CPUID is reporting a CPU clock multiplier of 6.0X - and CPU is at 1185.2 MHz - the machine appears to be clocked down. I've disabled speedstep technology in the BIOS... and was expecting to see full CPU and FSB speeds.

Anyone care to look at the attached screen shot of CPUID and comment?

Update: Here's a second CPUID screen shot... with higher FSB and Memory Clock speeds.. but the CPU still seems low.

    Why did you disable SpeedStep?

Try running anything CPU intensive. Does it still underclock? CPUs are made in such a way that it clocks down when not heavily utilized. Maybe because you disabled SpeedStep it has actually temporarily clocked down because of heat?

On another note, it seems that it's actually your Memory that's underclocked. Isn't that supposed to be at 333 MHz [667 DDR]?

    And... WEI sucks.

    Lastly, try CPU-Z. Google it.

My 3DMark06 score in my sig reports my CPU FSB speed of 200mhz which is right where it should be.

I used CPU-Z to read my RAM timings and this is what they show:

I didn't change any of my BIOS CPU settings.
