    Hi,

I was looking at the 15.4" T61p and the 15.4" T61. I would get similiar speced system apart from the graphics card.

I use CATIA and MATLAB. Can anyone tell me what the performance is like on the 140M and 570M? Are they sufficient?

How much faster is the 570M against the 140M?

How long with the T61p last on the 6 cell?

Is the screen on the 1680x1050 T61/T61p good?

    Thanks

The 570m is based on the 8600GT. It's quite a bit better than the 140m.

My guess would be be 2.5-3 hours on the six cell though a lot will depend on the settings. If you need a lot of battery life, you should probably look at the nine cell.

I haven't seen the screens, but I know there have been many threads on it if you want to search.
