Hello, my screen seems to have a bunch of the keyboard and the nipple imprints on it. I'm guessing that this occurs when my laptop is being pressed down upon.

I figure a microfiber cloth in between the two when I put it in my backpack would solve the issue, but the problem is finding a cloth that will cover the entire thing. Most of the things I Google for are for Macbooks.

Does anybody have a cloth that they use right now? And if so, where did you get it?

I know it might sound cheesy, but asking your mom if she knows about any fabric or sewing shops might be the best bet. You could have something custom cut for the notebook, and in nearly any color or design that you want.

That said check your keyboard to see if it is bent or bowed up in the center. The T61 has a pretty nice design with a magnesium frame behind the LCD panel, and it takes a TON of force to get the panel to touch the keys. If the keyboard was bowed in the center it might be reducing the clearance.

I would try storing the laptop in a manner that puts less stress on the monitor!

It happens when I'm storing books or stuff in my backpack along with the laptop, then flip the backpack down to fit under seats and such in lecture halls or airplanes. It's quite unavoidable unless I want to carry two bags, which I do not want to do.

I used to use a piece of microfiber cloth that covered my keyboard. I don't anymore because I can just wipe the mark away.

    ??

If all he's looking for is a piece of microfiber cloth, Sam's Club/BJ's/CostCo has a pack of 25 towels for around $10 - cut one to fit with 24 left over for cleaning.

Failing that, just check Wal-Mart in the kitchen towels area or in auto supplies or go to something like Auto-Zone or Pep Boys.
