My 15-month old T61p just developed a tiny mura issue, a small, diagonal line on the screen about a centimeter long. It looks like a thin hair on the screen, but it's obviously not anything on the outer surface...it could be due to contamination, but the fact that it is perfectly straight and thin, and exactly a negative 45 degree angle, leads me to believe it's some sort of issue with the panel.
I could just cope with it (it's not very eye-catching), but given that I paid for a warranty that's good for another year or two, I feel like I deserve to have it fixed. My only issue is that I've heard that Lenovo sometimes replaces panels with substandard ones, perhaps even refurbished panels that already have known dead or stuck pixels (but obviously less than their warranty policy covers). I have no idea how often they replace an LCD panel with an "as good or better" one.
If you've had warranty service on your LCD panel and it's come back better (or worse), could you let me know how it worked out for you? I've included a poll to make it easy to respond. I'd like to get a sense for whether it's worth taking the gamble to have it fixed, or if I should just cope with the blemish.

Get a new screen. You paid for the warranty, use it.
