    Hi everyone,

I am having a very big problem and I cannot seem to resolve it with Lenovo.
I currently own a T61p with win XP which I bought with basic warranty in January 2008.
I did not have too many problems with the laptop so far. I have always took good care of it and updated the software every time when something was required. This morning I have updated to latest "Bios update" 2.14 from Lenovo site using their automated update program. Everything went well and the system restarted without problems. After that I put the laptop into hibernation and went to meet with someone. I wanted to show that person something on my laptop and guess what. I tried to wake up the computer and I got black screen with white small icon in the upper left corner asking for some sort of password!!!
I do not have such a password!!! I never set up in the first place so how comes that it asks for a password? I called Lenovo and they said that I should pay some 100 bucks to get help with this issue. After fighting with them and pointing out that this is not my problem they very much hang up on me.
COULD SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!!! Sorry for the long story but I am really frustrated and do not know what to do.

Sorry but NBR does not allow the discussion on how to bypass security measures like passwords for any reason. Try calling a different Lenovo rep.

Also, please do not bring up this topic again.
