For some time my RPC has terminated and I have had to restart the comp. I've been trying to look for solutions and haven't found much. All i've been able to do is set it to restart the service, but I end up restarting the whole computer anyways because it starts acting all funky. I'm sure this isnt because of the blaster virus of a couple of years ago because the removal software doesn't detect anything. Any suggestions as to what this might be and how to fix it? thanks a lot!

    What OS? XP or Vista?

You need to include some more information as to what software is installed and the patch-level of your computer. The whole psychic-thing is over-rated.

You might want to run SFC from the command line and see what happens. There are times when infection and removal of viruses can cause corruption in some system files.
