Trackpad left mouse button squeaks every time I push it! Really annoying...started after about a week of use. What's the appropriate course of action...can it be lubed? Would that void the warranty? Don't tell me "use the trackball!" ;)

    Thanks

Well first, I'd take the keyboard off the housing and try to get shot of compressed air in between the buttons... perhaps see if the key isn't seated properly. If it persists... I wouldn't try and lube it, adding foreign chemicals to yoru laptop isn't a good idea... if it still keeps up... call customer support. They may be able you a replacement as it's not supposed to squeak. I definitely wouldn't live with such an annoyance... specially if you've got to take that into a library or something. :)

Thanks...I will call customer support tomorrow and see if they'll have me open it up. You're probably right that it's not seated properly. It's not terribly loose, per se, but lightly touching it at one of the ends causes it to "seesaw" to a greater degree than the right button, which doesn't have as much give.
