    T61p Touchpad - does not function anymore

    My touchpad has stopped working. Red rubber pointer in center of the keyboard still works. Plugged in USB mice. no issue. But the error above makes no sense. Everything is default. I have changed nothing besides being on the newest BIOS. I looked all over the BIOS and nothing. Everything looks enabled by default.

    I have taken very good care of my PC. i wonder if blowing canned air would have messed it up?

    I am on Windows x64 final RC.

    Everything else works fine with my Fn keys.

    *sigh* fixed. Took off the palm rest and sure enough the touch pad had disconnected from the mobo.

    works now.

    I for one am glad to hear got it working. I am a big T61p fan, but I noticed today that the thing is just getting too heavy.

    Heavy as in the weight of the unit itself?

    I agree with you Renee. I also love my T61p but the desire to have a lighter machine was one of the reasons that pushed me toward the X200.
